BYC EC Election & Special General Meeting 2026 | Day 3 Highlights

The final day of the BYC EC Election & Special General Meeting 2026 was dedicated to collective reflection, discussion, and decision-making on how Bangladesh Youth Coalition will move forward as a stronger, more inclusive, and accountable youth-led platform.

Through the Special General Meeting, BYC members actively discussed key areas including existing membership status, new member recruitment and expansion, gender inclusivity and visibility of newly elected organizations, membership acceptance and review mechanisms, participation and inactive membership management, and the overall functionality of BYC’s governance structure.

Members also reflected on the roles and coordination among the newly elected Executive Committee, Secretariat, member organizations, Thematic Groups, and Divisional/Regional structures. Discussions further focused on strengthening national and regional coordination, member benefits and opportunities, resource sharing, representation, communication, and meaningful participation across BYC activities.

Most importantly, the day created a space where member organizations could openly share their perspectives and collectively agree on key directions and immediate priorities for BYC’s next phase.

The three-day journey concluded with a renewed sense of shared ownership and responsibility, recognizing that a strong coalition is built not only through elected leadership but also through the continued participation, accountability, and commitment of all its members.

The BYC EC Election & Special General Meeting 2026 was implemented by Youth For Change Bangladesh Foundation, as the Secretariat of BYC, under the “Strengthening Bangladesh Youth Coalition (BYC)” initiative, in collaboration with Plan International Bangladesh under the Shomotay Tarunno: Youth for Equality Project, funded by the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
Together, we move forward with one shared commitment to build a stronger, more representative, inclusive, and youth-led Bangladesh Youth Coalition.
